David Moyes says he will happily take the nickname 'Moyesiah' having had plenty of unflattering monikers during his career.

The West Ham manager has transformed the club during his second spell in charge.

Moyes returned with the Hammers in the midst of a relegation battle. After keeping them up last season, the former Manchester United and Everton manager has now taken the east Londoners into the Premier League's top four as they push for an unlikely Champions League finish with eight games to go.

Many fans have dubbed the 57-year-old the 'Moyesiah' for his work at the London Stadium, and he's more than happy for them to continue.

Asked whether he had heard his new nickname, Moyes said: "I thought you were going to say ginger nut!

"It’s certainly not ginger nut now, something more grey.

"If there are nicknames going around, I’ve had a lot of bad ones in my time, so I’m quite happy to take that if that’s what I’ve been given."
