Dele Alli showed he still possesses all of his talent as footage of him training in pre-season was shared on Instagram.

The ex-Tottenham midfielder - currently a free agent - has been actively sharing his fitness journey on social media, signalling his determination to find a new club, reports the Express.

After undergoing surgery earlier this year to address a chronic groin problem, Alli is ramping up his rehabilitation efforts to ensure he's in top form for a potential return to the pitch.

The 28-year-old, who reached the Champions League final with Spurs in 2019, is keeping his followers in the loop with regular updates on Instagram, showcasing the intensive work he's undertaking to make a Premier League comeback.

In a recent clip posted by his coach under the handle @jazzi.fc, Alli can be seen in action engaging in various exercises including sprints, ball control work, and agility training. The video, which comes with the encouraging caption "We working @dele", reveals Alli looking sharp and acing the drills.

Tottenham fans, in particular, were delighted to see Alli back in action on the training pitch. Some even begged him to return home to north London, where he made the biggest impact of his career before joining Everton.

One person wrote: "Can't wait to see him back on the pitch." Another added: "Prem ain't ready for Dele's comeback." A third penned: "Can't wait to see you, my favourite player."

Someone else queried: "Come on @spursofficial we need him now." As another chimed in with: "Well done Dele, back to Spurs soon," followed by a trio of love heart emojis.

Alli is currently a free agent after his contract with Everton came to an end. However, it's understood the Toffees are open to discussions about a new deal with the former England international down the line.

Everton made it clear in May that Alli would not be offered a new contract but confirmed he would stay at the club during his rehabilitation. Director of football Kevin Thelwell stated: "Dele's contract is coming to an end, but our medical team will continue to support him while he completes the intensive rehabilitation programme he is currently undergoing following the operation he had earlier this year.

"Both Sean Dyche and I agree it is important we ensure Dele's rehabilitation is not impacted by his contract situation at such a critical point in his recovery."
