Dennis Bermudez vs. Jeremy Stephens Added to UFC 189 Fight Card

Emmett and Stephens Ready to Go, but One Fighter Misses Weight at UFC on FOX 28 Weigh-ins

The UFC 189: Aldo vs. McGregor fight card became more stacked on Tuesday with the announcement that featherweight contenders Dennis Bermudez and Jeremy Stephens would meet on the main card. UFC officials announced the match-up.

Sixth-ranked Bermudez had a seven-fight winning streak snapped in his last outing at UFC 180, losing to fourth-ranked Ricardo Lamas by submission. He hopes to start a new winning streak when he faces Stephens in July.

Stephens, the eleventh-ranked featherweight, reeled off three consecutive wins after making his 145-pound debut in 2013, but is coming off back-to-back losses. He was narrowly defeated by Cub Swanson and Charles Oliveira in his last two outings, but expects to get back on the winning track when he faces Bermudez.
