Dillan Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin result: Briton knocked out clean by stunning uppercut in the fifth round

Dillian Whyte was stunned by Alexander Povetkin in the pair's heavyweight main event at Fight Camp on Saturday night, succumbing to an uppercut out of nowhere in the fifth round.

Whyte (27-2, 18 KOs) had made the better start and even dropped Povetkin (36-2, 25 KOs) twice in the fourth round, but the Russian found a devastating finish to shock the few attendees in Eddie Hearn's Essex garden.

Povetkin now finds himself in line for a shot at Tyson Fury’s WBC heavyweight championship at some point in the near future, while the co-main event saw Ireland’s undefeated champion Katie Taylor defeat Delfine Persoon on points for the second time in another close contest.
