Liverpool striker Diogo Jota has been a success story since arriving at the club four years ago. Signed from Wolves ahead of the 2020/21 season, Jota has scored 56 goals from 145 games in all competitions and has contributed 19 assists in his time at Anfield.

He missed large chunks of the season through injury but will be part of the Portugal side at the European Championships this summer. Ahead of the tournament, Jota was asked to name a starting XI of the best players he has played alongside in his career.

And having already won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup at Anfied, it was no surprise to see Jota include five Anfield teammates in his star-studded line-up.

Alisson Becker is Jota's choice for goalkeeper, with the pair playing together since Jota's arrival. In defense, he Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, while international teammates Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo all get the nod, despite having been rivals at club level with Manchester United..

Jota has decided to go with a three-man midfield, consisting of Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister, Manchester City playmaker David Silva and Ruben Neves, who he has played with on the international stage and at club level with Wolves.

In attack, Mohamed Salah unsurprisingly gets the nod alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. And Jota also picks himself to play alongside the pair in a front three that promises a lot of goals.

Jota's dream XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Dias, Van Dijk, Cancelo; Mac Allister, Neves, Silva; Salah, Ronaldo, Jota.

Liverpool.com says: It is a well-balanced team that Jota has gone for but there are some notable omissions. Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were all left out but it's hard to argue with any of his choices. Having Alexander-Arnold and Cancelo on either flank would be an attacker's dream but may leave the team slightly open!
