The Miami Dolphins’ 2018 season was largely forgettable beyond one moment: their dramatic come-from-behind win over the New England Patriots in Week 14.

Donning their teal throwback uniforms, the Dolphins pulled off a miracle, 69-yard, last-second play that needed two laterals before Kenyan Drake found the end zone for the win.

Now they’re trying to recapture that same magic the next time they host the Patriots, as team president Tom Garfinkel announced on Saturday that they will wear their white throwback uniforms in Week 2.

Although the Dolphins wore their aqua throwbacks last year for the wild Patriots game and Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills, their all-white uniforms are among the most popular throwback uniforms in the league.

Of course, this is also another opportunity for the team to sell more merchandise, but it’s good to see the return of an old friend, and the timing of the game on legend Dan Marino’s birthday is an added bonus.

The Dolphins have worn an all-white throwback uniform before in big games as well, including their 2003 Thanksgiving Day win over the Dallas Cowboys.
