In a dominant display of rugby, Bolton Rugby Club’s men’s firsts came out on top at home against Creighton with a 59-7 victory in the first round of the Papa Johns Community Cup.

From the off, Bolton imposed their will on the game with strong ball carrying and precise passing leading to an early lead.

Creighton fought to attempt to stay in the game with their defence, but they were ultimately overwhelmed by Bolton’s attack.

Bolton’s forwards were particularly impressive, consistently winning the battle at the breakdown and providing quick ball for the backs to exploit.

The back line showed great attacking prowess, with slick handling, impressive offloads, and cross-field kicks exploiting Creighton’s defence, leading to several well-worked tries.

Creighton, on the other hand, struggled to gain a foothold in the game, with their defence being breached time and time again by Bolton’s creativity.

Towards the end of the game, Creighton showed determination to not make it scoreless on their behalf which resulted in a try for the visiting side.

In the end, Bolton emerged as comfortable winners in a match that showcased their dominance in all areas of the game.
