Dustin Poirier vs. Joseph Duffy Rescheduled for UFC 195

Dustin Poirier Stops Anthony Pettis, Calls for Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje Winner

An injury forced Joseph Duffy out of the UFC Fight Night 76 main event against Dustin Poirier on Oct. 24, but he’ll get another opportunity to face “The Diamond.” The lightweight match-up has been rescheduled to take place at UFC 195 on Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC officials made the announcement on Thursday.

Duffy (14-1) made his UFC debut in March with a TKO finish of Jake Lindsey. The last man to defeat interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor is coming off a Performance of the Night winning effort against Ivan Jorge at UFC Fight Night 72.

Poirier (18-4) has logged two stellar performances since returning to the lightweight division in April, scoring first-round finishes over Carlos Diego Ferreira and Yancy Medeiros.

UFC 195 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Robbie Lawler and fourth-ranked Carlos Condit.
