EastEnders confirms twist in Stacey Slater story
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Stacey Slater will make a shock discovery about Freddie's former teacher Theo Hawthorne next week.
Stacey finds herself clashing with pregnant daughter Lily again in scenes to air later this month, as her money problems continue.
Stacey upsets Lily when she is unable to buy her a pair of new trainers she wants and also lands herself in Freddie's bad books with an insensitive comment about his dreams of going to university.
With tension mounting at the Slaters', Theo steps in to ease the situation and talks to Freddie.
Lily is delighted when Theo later presents her with the trainers she wanted, courtesy of his mate who owns a sports shop.
Stacey tells Theo that Lily still can't have them as it would be unfair on her other children, but he later overrules her wishes and gives them to Lily regardless.
Lily is soon showing off her new trainers to her friends, sparking concern from Amy.
Worried, Amy tells Lily to be careful that Theo hasn't got an ulterior motive here.
Amy's words unsettle Lily and she later asks Theo directly about his intentions.
Theo is quick to close down Lily's fears, but Amy is still worried and tells Stacey about the older man who bought Lily's trainers.
Stacey is furious and confronts Lily, who is able to offer an innocent explanation.
Stacey later catches up with Theo to discuss the trainers and there's clear tension between them. What is going on?
