Eberechi Eze remains a target for Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The 25-year-old midfielder continues to be heavily linked with a move to north London following his impressive performances for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Playing a key role in Oliver Glasner's side, Eze helped steer the Eagles away from a relegation scrap and finish 10th. The England international, who sees his contract at Selhurst Park expire in June 2027, featured 27 times in the English top flight, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.

While Eze's currently away on international duty at Euro 2024, fortunately, the playmaker's represented by CAA Base – the agency that represents Ange Postecoglou and several Spurs players too. So, with that being said, football.london have rounded up everything you need to know about David and his future at Lille.

'Priority target'

Tottenham have named Eze has a 'priority target' this summer, football.london understands. It's believed that Postecoglou is a big admirer of the Englishman, but it'll be up to Daniel Levy to pay his release clause with Crystal Palace not keen on losing him for anything less.

football.london understands that Spurs are also keen to sign Conor Gallagher, but the Chelsea midfielder has very little intention of leaving Stamford Bridge. He sees his contract in West London expire next year.

Eze makes stance clear!

In May, Eze was asked whether he's playing the best football of his career. Speaking to the Evening Standard, the Crystal Palace ace replied: "Yeah probably. I feel like I’ve got the freedom to play, to do my thing. I’m just happy to be enjoying my football."

Then, when quizzed on his future in South London, Eze added: "I’m not really too bothered about that. I’m just focusing on the present. I want to continue enjoying it and contributing to the team as much as I can. I’m improving every game."

Glasner already haunted by Eze claim...

Last month, Glasner provided an update on the futures of Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise. The Crystal Palace boss said: "I am very confident they’ll be here because they have contracts and no one has told me they’ll be leaving.

"I think what we have done is that we have shown them that Crystal Palace have ambition. We have shown them how we want to play, which path we want to go down, which journey we want to ride together.

"They can show their strengths, qualities and personalities and express themselves. They fit together. This is what we can do. If something else happens, then this is football. But Crystal Palace will be able to build a new Selhurst – because it will cost a lot of money."

Ironically, Olise looks set to leave Crystal Palace and join Bayern Munich. One down... Two to go?

Ferdinand makes bold prediction

Rio Ferdinand has backed Eze to join a 'top team'. Speaking on TNT Sports in January 2024, the former Manchester United defender said: "He’s had a unique journey, he has had disappointment in his academy life, been released from clubs but he has found a new pathway and got to this level and is an international play now.

"No disrespect to Palace but this kid can go onto play for one of the top teams. He has got that individual brilliance, he’s got that awareness in his dribbling to keep his head up and bring others into the game.

"I speak to other players who play against him and they say he is such an elusive player, unpredictable but also with size and power to go with it."
