Edinson Cavani is desperate for a move to Real Madrid, but does not want to upset PSG.

The Uruguayan is 31 and, according to Spanish Newspaper AS, believes Real is the ideal place for him to end his career at the top level.

But Cavani has a very good relationship with PSG, especially president Nasser Al Khelaifi, and does not want to cause an issue or upset the club.

His contract at the French champions does not end until 2020 and he is revered by the PSG fans, having scored 170 goals in five years at Parc Des Princes.

Real, meanwhile, are looking for attacking reinforcements after selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, and Cavani is one of a number of options being considered.

They have been heavily linked with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe over the past month, only to release statements distancing themselves from the players and saying the rumours are false.

AS report that PSG would want around £90m for the striker, but his wages could be an issue, as he earns £205k per week, and as much as £1.75m in bonuses.

The two European giants do have a strong relationship, so Real are unlikely to try and unsettle the player if PSG do not want to sell, leaving Cavani in a difficult situation.
