Edmonton Oilers vs. Vancouver Canucks: Predictions, odds, and how to watch Game 7
We are one game away from the Conference Finals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. So, which team will be granted such an honor -- the team with the generational superstar that has struggled to find success in the playoffs, or the team that hasn't advanced past the second round since 2011?
The Vancouver Canucks may be playing at home, but they are at a massive disadvantage with star forward Brock Boeser out for Game 7 with a blood clotting issue that is thankfully not considered to be life-threatening. Boeser had been having an excellent playoff run with 12 points in as many games.
The Edmonton Oilers, on the other hand, are looking for their second Conference Finals appearance in three years. Despite the recent success though, the Oilers have not won a Stanley Cup since 1990, and they haven't even been to a Cup Finals since 2006. Despite the immense talent of guys like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, the Oilers have been unable to get over the hump with those two leading the way. Clearly, this game is massive for both franchises.

Predictions for Oilers-Canucks, Game 7:
Ryan Clark, ESPN: Canucks 4, Oilers 3
Clark writes, "The chances of Game 7 being decided by a single goal are extremely realistic. Until Game 6, every game of this series has been decided by one goal. Furthermore, the Canucks had played nine consecutive one-goal games this postseason until they lost Game 6. It's possible the Oilers could have another offensive outburst. But in a series that has been so tight, it would be fitting that the final conclusion is decided by the narrowest of margins."
Nicholas J. Cotsonika, NHL.com: Oilers to win
Cotsonika writes, "this is Game 7, and Oilers forwards Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid are two of the best players in the world, so I’m going with Edmonton. I know Draisaitl and McDavid haven’t been at their best in this series, and I know the Canucks have the last change at home, allowing them to dictate the matchups. I also know anyone can be the hero in Game 7. But this is supposed to be the time for Draisaitl and McDavid to take the next step. They need to be difference-makers in a pivotal moment, and I’m betting they will be in this one."
Andrew DeWitt, The Athletic: Edmonton to win
DeWitt notes that 67% of The Athletic staff picked the Oilers to win this Game 7. He also points out that while Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko could potentially return to the ice for Game 7 of the series, Canucks' coach Rick Tocchet has already informed the media that that will not happen. Demko's absence is obviously a massive blow to Vancouver, but it's not like they haven't been playing without him the whole series.
The Canucks have also not hosted a Game 7 since they lost the Stanley Cup Finals in 2011. Perhaps the team's unfamiliarity with this pressure will be their downfall.
