Elie Youan tells Hibs fan 'shut your mouth' in social media blast over absence comment

Elie Youan told a Hibs fan "shut your mouth" after a comment about his exclusion from the team yesterday.

The Frenchman was a notable absence from the Hibees team that ran out 3-1 winners over St Johnstone yesterday in their first bottom six clash, out of the matchday squad altogether. That left a supporter to speculate over the reason why, adding that he wouldn't be against the forward moving on from Easter Road.

He wrote: "Hopefully looking for a move the guy frustrates me. If he would stop all the show pony stuff n shoot more n track back n hep defend he'd be fine." That irked the 25-year-old who insisted he had a knock and replied to the comment angrily: "Shut your mouth I'm injured."

Other supporters appeared to take the player's side with one writing: "Don't listen to him we love you Youan," and another adding "Show pony with the most goals and assists in the team. Right you are."

The original poster then came back and wrote: "I think u would be a cracking player if u just done the basic track back n pass the ball rather than all the tricks. I'm no the only one who thinks this. Hope ur injury isn't too bad."

Youan has ten goals and ten assists this season and has been a dangerous player going forward. But it's not the first time fans have questioned him with criticisms of his work off the ball.
