Former India opener Aakash Chopra has backed Virat Kohli & Co to bounce back in the fourth Test against England, slated to start on September 2 (Thursday) at the Kennington Oval in London. Meanwhile, the series is currently tied at 1-1 after the host staged an outstanding comeback at Headingley beating India by an innings and 76 runs.
The five-match series is evenly poised with two matches to go. On the eve of the fourth Test, Aakash Chopra has predicted that India will bounce back off the wall and take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the cricketer-turned-commentator said:
“I am going with India to win this Test match. Yes, I am saying India will win.”
“The team that wins the toss will want to bat first. Batting is not a bad idea, that’s for India. England, you should have batted first at Lord’s because batting does not happen at the end, you get all out in fifty overs,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Kennington Oval is generally a batters wicket and has produced a lot of runs in the first couple of days. However, it will also assist the spinners once the match progresses.

Adding further, Aakash Chopra believes that there will be a lot of runs scored in the second session of all the days. He also feels the spinners will dominate the proceedings if the Test runs onto the fifth day.
“A lot of runs will be scored in the second session of each day at the Oval ground. In the middle overs, old ball, flat pitch, slightly more spin – that’s the time to score,” Aakash Chopra continued.
“In this five-day Test match, if it lasts for five days, spinners will take more than 6 wickets. Who will be the spinners – Moeen Ali, Ashwin, Jadeja or someone else?” he concluded.
