Kobbie Mainoo Allowed Iceland to move through midfield too easily before their goal. Lacks physicality and nous. 4

Declan Rice Needs a more disciplined partner than Mainoo. England were too open. Expect Conor Gallagher to return. 5

Cole Palmer England’s biggest threat. Offered trickery but should have scored. Questions about his work off the ball. 6

Phil Foden Failed to take his chance as a No 10. Passing was poor. Jude Bellingham was missed. 4
