England squad in full: 33-man provisional Euros squad confirmed by Gareth Southgate
Gareth Southgate has confirmed his provisional 33-man England squad for this summer’s European Championship.
England boss Southgate has named an expanded squad, which he will whittle down for UEFA’s deadline of June 1.
UEFA expanded squads for this summer’s delayed Euro 2020 tournament from 23 players to 26 due to the increased demands on players following an unprecedented 2020/21 season impacted by the pandemic.
While Southgate has named a larger provisional squad for now, it remains to be seen whether the Three Lions manager will use the extra three places approved by UEFA given he expressed his unease at increasing his options beyond 23 players back in March.
