Marcus Rashford’s report card from his time in Manchester United’s U11 side has gone viral ahead of England’s World Cup opener with Tunisia.

The sheet of paper, dated ‘September 2007’ includes the then ten-year-old’s thoughts on his best position, strength and what he needs to improve on.

And it makes for good reading for the England international.

One of the questions is ‘how can you improve question?’, to which Rashford responded with ‘I can improve by practicing hard every day.

He identified his pace and skill as his strengths, which is certainly still true now and he showed that in the Three Lions’ last friendly, the 2-0 win over Costa Rica.

Interestingly his best positions then were upfront and on the right wing, whilst he wanted to improve his left foot.

Although Rashford would prefer to play through the middle and many see that as his best position, Jose Mourinho often plays him on the left and not the right, although he does cut onto his right foot more often than not.

The final question asks for his opinion on who the best U11 player is at the club, and he goes for ‘Dev’.

That probably refers to Devonte Redmond, who has recently been released by the club, and Rashford says he has ‘everything that a great player needs.’
