England to wear 150th Anniversary Heritage kit for Scotland match – but only for warm-up

England will wear unique warm-up shirts ahead of the 150th Anniversary Heritage Match at Hampden Park.

Scotland are hosting the friendly to mark the anniversary of the first international football match.

Ahead of the occasion, the Three Lions will acknowledge their own heritage by donning a jersey bearing the original crest from the first Scotland versus England meeting in 1872.

The limited-edition shirts supplied by Nike will be auctioned to raise money for the Football Association’s official charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society.

Harry Kane, the England men’s captain, wore the replica for the first time during a visit to Hamilton Crescent in Glasgow, the scene of the goalless draw that was played out on Nov 30, 1872, alongside Scotland counterpart Andy Robertson.

The venue, home of West of Scotland Cricket Club, is just six miles from Hampden Park, where England will face Scotland for the 116th occasion.

The one-off auction in support of Alzheimer’s Society will run until 8pm on Saturday, Sept 30.
