Enzo Maresca will no doubt want to welcome a few more new faces to Stamford Bridge this summer. Since wrapping up a deal for Tosin Adarabioyo, Chelsea have continued to be linked with some big names, like Alexander Isak and Murillo.

If the Blues want to break the bank again this year, they may be left with no choice but to offload a few players. Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah face particularly uncertain futures, with any potential sale going down as pure profit on the books.

For now, though, they both have contracts at Cobham. Nevertheless, the sporting directors will definitely have to make some difficult decisions in the next couple of weeks.

So, with that being said, has rounded up the latest Blues news and transfer gossip on Friday, June 28.

Confusion over Leicester City ace

Chelsea appear to have lined up their second signing of the summer transfer window. According to The Athletic, the Blues have contacted Leicester City to express interest in signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - although later reports have suggested he's also due for a medical at Brighton.

The 25-year-old midfielder played a key role in Enzo Maresca's side at the King Power Stadium last season, helping the Foxes achieve promotion back into the Premier League. Dewsbury-Hall featured 44 times in the Championship last term, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists.

The Athletic claim Chelsea haven't made a formal offer for the Englishman yet, but he's keen on joining the Blues. Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, has claimed he'll be part of a swap deal with Brighton which will see Jakub Moder move to Leicester in the opposite direction - and medicals have been booked for both clubs. says: "While I'm sure Enzo Maresca might think this would be a huge coup for his project at Chelsea, I just can't get behind this transfer whatsoever. Aside from the fact that the Blues have more than enough options in the middle of the park, I don't believe Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall improves the starting lineup. He'd be a decent squad player, though."

Chelsea want Premier League defender

Chelsea have registered an interest in Murillo, understands. The 21-year-old defender has been heavily linked with an exit from Nottingham Forest following his impressive debut campaign in the Premier League.

It's believed that Liverpool are keeping an eye on his situation, too, but the Blues are now considering a move for the centre-back. Murillo has been identified as someone that can come in and improve the defensive line following Thiago Silva's departure.

However, Forest will not let their star man leave the City Ground for cheap this summer. Sources have confirmed to that Nuno Espirito Santo's side will demand 'way over' £50m for the Brazilian's signature in the coming months. says: "Murillo would be a really nice signing for Chelsea but, again, I fear that Enzo Maresca already has enough options at the back. Perhaps the Blues have a huge case of 'FOMO' – fear of missing out..."

Another wonderkid signs

Chelsea are expected to add to their bank of young stars this summer. According to Argentine journalist Germán García Grova, the Blues and Boca Juniors have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Aarón Anselmino.

The 19-year-old defender made his debut for Los Xeneizes last year. In April 2024, he scored his first senior goal, netting in a 1-0 win against Trinidense Sports Club in the South America Cup group stages.

The report states that Chelsea will pay Boca Juniors $18m (£14.2m), plus performance-based bonuses. It's said that the west Londoners have offered the teenager a six-year contract. says: "While Chelsea have been credited with the interest, this is the type of deal for Strasbourg. Whether Aarón Anselmino joins the French side on loan or permanently, he needs game time to develop and hone his trade. I trust that he's an exciting prospect."
