Estevao Willian sparks Chelsea transfer frenzy as cryptic message sent

Palmeiras' Estevao Willian has sparked a Chelsea transfer frenzy after sending a cryptic message amid reports he is soon to move to Stamford Bridge.

The 17-year-old winger broke into the first team in Brazil at the start of this year and has impressed in South America since. Making 27 appearances, Willian has bagged eight goals and five assists for his club.

Such performances have caught the eye of the Blues with a move to Stamford Bridge looking close to completion. According to some reports, the forward has already passed a medical in West London and a fee of £30m which shall rise to £51m has already been agreed.

With the negotiations now coming towards an end, Willian has hinted on social media that an announcement is imminent. Taking to X, the youngster posted the hourglass emoji which could suggest his unveiling will be soon.

Once the deal is completed, he will become new manager Enzo Maresca's second signing of the summer transfer window. At the beginning of this month, the Blues announced the arrival of centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Fulham.

Further deals are also being worked on according to reports with Chelsea and Aston Villa locked in negotiations over several incomings and exits. Maresca's men reportedly want to bring Jhon Duran and Omari Kellyman to the club while Villa are attempting to sign Ian Maatsen and Conor Gallagher.

Maatsen's deal is believed to be very close with a fee in the region of £35m thought to have been agreed.
