EURO 2016: Fabregas misses penalty after laser was shone in his eyes

Spain and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas missed his fourth successive penalty for his country in Ukraine - but he had an excuse as a fan was deliberately putting him off

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas missed his firth successive penalty for Spain - because a laser was being shone in his face as he stepped up to take it.

Fabregas was making his 100th international appearance and had the chance to double Spain's lead in their Euro 2016 qualifier in Ukraine.

But as club boss Jose Mourinho looked on, Fabregas' spot-kick attempt was saved by Andriy Pyatov.

Mario Gaspar's goal on his debut was enough to clinch a 1-0 win  for Vicente del Bosque's side.
