Euro 2016 exclusive: Lahm tips 'hungry, talented England' to shine

World Cup winning captain Philipp Lahm has labelled England as the team nobody wants to play ahead of the Euro 2016 Championships.

Roy Hodgson's side won all 10 of their qualifying matches to make this summer's finals in France, bouncing back from a terrible 2014 World Cup where they failed to make it form the group stages.

And Lahm, who led Germany to victory in Brazil two years ago, believes England could spring a few shocks. with young players like Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Ross Barkley.

In an exclusive intervew with Yahoo Sport, Bayern Munich skipper Lahm said: "England stabilised after the World Cup and impressively qualified for the Euros – which wasn’t a given no matter how easy people thought their group was.

"They have very talented payers who are hungry for success. England might not be among the favourites to win tournament but you will have to keep your eye on them.

"Nobody likes playing against England."
