EURO 2016 TEAM PREVIEW: GROUP E - BELGIUM

Tip: Quarter-finals

Cult hero: Radja Nainggolan could well be on his way to Chelsea from Roma if recent reports are anything to go by with Blues fans set to welcome his peroxide mohican and box-to-box displays to the Bridge. His all-action persona, love of dogs and Indonesian heritage mark him out as a one-off.

Star player: Anyone who saw Manchester City struggle this season without Kevin De Bruyne knows how important he is both to club and country. The former Chelsea attacker offers a more direct approach from midfield compared to the impish Eden Hazard and gliding Moussa Dembélé, his five qualifying goals key to their fortunes. He is a big game player to boot, which bodes well for the knockout stages.

Player to watch: Jordan Lukaku and Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco are both young talents set to break into the big time, however Tottenham target Michy Batshuayi could be better placed to make an impact in France. The Marseilles striker has had a superb season with 21 goals and offers a formidable presence off the bench with Liverpool strikers Christian Benteke and Divock Origi unconvincing of late.

How they qualified: They pipped Wales to top spot in Group B thanks to a strong qualifying finish as Chris Coleman’s side stuttered late doors. Seven wins and an impressive 24 goals in total shows they mean business, Thibaut Courtois crucial in goal if their golden generation want to go deep this time.

Line-up prediction: Courtois, Denayer, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, J Lukaku, Nainggolan, Witsel, Mertens, De Bruyne, Hazard, Lukaku
