EURO 2016 TEAM PREVIEW: GROUP F - HUNGARY

Tip: Early exit

Cult hero: One of English football’s great foreign characters, Gabor Kiraly turned out over 100 times for Crystal Palace together with stints at West Ham, Aston Villa, Burnley and Fulham. His tracksuit bottom fetish remains strong at 40 years of age, which is pleasing to see in an identikit age.

Star player: Balazs Dzsudzsak has enjoyed a productive a career in several countries with his early spell at PSV Eindhoven harvesting a superb return for a winger of over one goal in every three games. This coincided with his blossoming in the national side where he carried most of the creative burden, something he continued in the qualifying campaign including a pearler of a free-kick against Romania.

Player to watch: Hungarian champions Ferencvaros have a special talent on their hands with Adam Nagy, who can sit deep and dictate games at will. He has been allowed to replicate this role for Hungary by coach Bernd Storck, who prizes possession above all. Nagy might not be the tallest or strongest of defensive midfielders however, like Luka Modric, he keeps every team he plays for ticking along.

How they qualified: It was a mixed campaign for Hungary with four wins and four draws that might not have been enough in other groups but proved sufficient enough for a playoff spot through a weak Group F. They proved too strong for Norway over two legs to set up their third European Championship tilt.

Line-up prediction: Kiraly, Kadar, Lang, Guzmics, Fiola, Gera, Nagy, Dzsudzsak, Kleinheisler, Nemeth, Szalai
