The 2024 European Championships are almost upon us - will it finally be the year that England bring football home?

It's been almost 30 years and seven editions of the competition since comedians David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and the Lightning Seeds coined the country's most iconic football phrase but it's a mission the Three Lions have failed to complete since 1966 when Bobby Moore lifted the Jules Rimet trophy at the old Wembley Stadium.

Gareth Southgate became the first England boss since Sir Alf Ramsey that day to take the Three Lions to a major international tournament final but failed to replicate his success, with a heartbreaking defeat on penalties to Italy in Euro 2020. Now he'll try and go one step further in what could be his final tournament with the squad.

Harry Kane will once again lead the line as captain but without the guise of Harry Maguire who suffered a calf injury a few weeks ago and failed to recover in time for the tournament. Despite that blow, England are still pre-tournament favourites but will no doubt note the threats of France, Spain, Portugal and reigning champions Italy.

Both the BBC and ITV have coverage rights for this year's European Championship matches - but what games are on which channel? Well, here's football.london's guide for what games are on which channel for the group stage...
