It’s not every day Arsene Wenger ends up giving a treat to the fans and, from an hour before kick-off, the party started. Then, this Arsenal side finally got three points on the road with a spectacular performance against Everton. Here are my main takeaways from the game:

A big win means more to do for Arsenal

Before this week, the pundits had declared that Everton away would be the biggest litmus test for Arsenal before November. Being who they are, the Gunners had already messed up before the test even arrived.

However, the Watford loss seems to have stemmed this group into performing much better than they were. Whether it was Troy Deeney’s comments or something else, the ‘nuts’ in question are coming game after game.

Moving up to fifth and having seen United drop points early on, Arsenal need to maintain this momentum of good performances going into winter. Only the consistency of three points per game will work for now.

Sadly, consistency is this club’s biggest problem (after injuries). A certain Swiss player embodies that point for me perfectly…

Granit Xhaka’s inconsistencies could fill a book

If there was one player I wanted to substitute at half time vs Everton, it was probably Xhaka. And the fact that I thought this even after his part in the equalizer should tell you how frustrating he can be.

Forget the lack of awareness which led to Rooney’s goal; his overall display in the game was mind boggling – and not for the good reasons.

It is so confusing to understand which Xhaka will turn up when he gets the ball. Whether it will be a perfect ball Xhaka or a casual pass to the opposition-who knows?

If Arsenal want to continue playing this XI-which is so good, they need to find a way to get the best version of their Swiss general. He can truly make or break their season, single-handedly.

The Arsenal “Trio” has arrived, and how

Ever since the days of crowning of MSN and BBC, most EPL fans would have liked to see a famous trio one day in England as well. Luckily for them, today is that day.

Alexis, Ozil and Lacazette started a game together for the first time and it turned out to better than expected. All three ended up on the scoresheet and even got two assists between them.

Gunners’ fans all around the globe were delirious on hearing the team news and later it became the perfect afternoon for them. Speaking as one, the Lacazette goal was the most perfect combination I could’ve imagined.

If this keeps up, maybe the newly acquired French striker might convince his new partners in crime to stick around. That actually, might become the most perfect combination any Arsenal fan could imagine.
