Dominic Calvert-Lewin starts for Everton against Liverpool at Goodison Park tonight after the striker recovered from a knock at the weekend.

The 27-year-old was withdrawn during the second half of the 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest after a clash of knees. Calvert-Lewin has overcome that issue and Sean Dyche, who cannot call on Beto due to concussion protocols, has selected him for the 244th Merseyside derby.

Also in the starting line-up is James Garner and Ben Godfrey as Blues boss Dyche makes two changes from the weekend. Garner comes in for Andre Gomes and so looks set to start in the middle.

Godfrey, meanwhile, is in for Ashley Young, who ended up at the centre of controversy on Sunday as Forest released an extraordinary public outburst claiming he should have conceded three penalties. None were given and the following day Young aimed a dig in the opposite direction by sharing a screenshot of someone listening to the Justin Timberlake song 'Cry Me a River'.

While Young played a role in that second consecutive win and clean sheet at Goodison, Dyche has moved back to Godfrey on the right of the defence. Young was sent off in the first half of the reverse fixture for two yellow cards.
