Scotland's performance last night disappointed fans but it forced one ex-player into an X-rated rant.

Steve Clarke's side couldn't find the win that would have likely sent them to the Euro 2024 last 16 as one of the best third placed teams, or even a goal for that matter. Despite dominating possession, the Scots were blunt in attack and also looked vulnerable to the Hungary counter attack - which was how they conceded with virtually the last kick of the ball.

Former Hearts and Rangers defender Paul Ritchie, who earned seven caps for his country, has now labelled it the most incompetent performance he's ever seen and says the manager and team should feel embarrassed. He adds that it's the lowest he's felt supporting Scotland.

Taking to social media after the match, he said: "Speechless right now. Never seen such an incompetent performance. Absolutely devastated.

"From Clarke to all players. You should be f****** embarrassed. Awful. I have never felt such a low as I'm feeling right now.

"That was an absolutely devastating defeat. I am without words that would be constructive in any way."
