FA CUP THIRD ROUND: Highlights and likely winners
The big boys have entered the fray - but will they take the FA Cup seriously? Mark Lawford looks at the draw...
So the 32 ties for the world's oldest knockout tournament have been drawn.
And, to be honest, there were not too many mouth-watering encounters.
But a few have the potential to make a few eyes water - so here's Yahoo Sport's tie-by-tie analysis - and likely outcome.
1. Watford v Newcastle
The magic of Watford reserves against Newcastle reserves comes to Vicarage Road. If Newcastle win the match before this one, they'll lose miserably but if they are chewed up and spat out, expect Steve McClaren's inconsistent team to progress.
Verdict: Watford possibly after a replay.
2. West Brom v Bristol City
West Brom are very hard to beat - no team has kept more clean sheets than the Baggies since Tony Pulis took over while Bristol City are struggling in the Championship. Even resting a few players, Pulis could start Saido Berahino to cup tie him and vex potential suitors while City's second string will struggle.
Verdict: West Brom to win
3. West Ham v Wolves
The Old Irons against the Old Gold. West Ham are inconsistent but should have too much for Wolves who should be concentrating on the Championship play-offs.
Verdict: West Ham to win
4. Salford City or Hartlepool v Derby
Salford City have probably missed their chance by drawing at home to Hartlepool but whoever wins the replay will find in-form Championship Derby too hard to overcome.
Verdict: Derby, possibly after a replay
5. Exeter v Liverpool
The romance of the cup sees Jurgen Klopp & Co sent to the west country, to the team who drew 0-0 at Manchester United not so long ago. But that was then and this is now...
Verdict: Liverpool to ease through
6. Tottenham v Leicester
Premier League pace setters Leicester travel to the same ground they enjoyed round 4 success at last season. By the time they play this match, Mahrez will be challenging Vardy's consecutive goalscoring record but Tottenham's Europa League team will at least get another outing.
Verdict: Tottenham to win - just
7. Colchester v Charlton
Two strugglers looking to reach round four and potential big payday.
Verdict: Charlton, maybe after a replay.
8. Peterborough v Preston
Free-scoring Boro are mowing teams down at the moment while Preston are climbing the Championship. This has a draw written all over it but...
Verdict: Posh to win
9. Northampton Town v MK Dons
The M1 derby as the cash-strapped Cobblers look to overcome Championship strugglers MK Dons. That need for money might just be enough...
Verdict: Northampton to win
10. Arsenal v Sunderland
They've won the FA Cup for the past two seasons and Sam Allardyce has never led a side to victory at Arsenal. Enough said.
Verdict: Stroll for Gunners' third team
11. Newport v Blackburn
Newport have bounced back brilliantly from years of non-league anonymity to make the third round for the first since since 1986.
Verdict: They won't the fourth round...
12. Ipswich v Portsmouth
The 2008 winners Pompey travel to the 1978 winners Ipswich. Now in football's bottom division, Portsmouth are slowly battling back and although Mick McCarthy's Tractor Boys will be targeting the Championship play-offs, he'll fancy a big team in round after this.
Verdict: Ipswich to win
13. Birmingham v Bournemouth
Given that Birmingham nearly always lose at home in the FA Cup and they conceded eight at home to Bournemouth last season, this is a no-brainer.
Verdict: Bournemouth to cherry-pick tteir way through.
14. Wycombe v Aston Villa
This is just what Aston Villa boss Remi Garde wanted - a match against a team in the bottom division. However, given Wycombe barely deserved their win at Millwall in the second round, expect last season's beaten finalists to make it to round four.
Verdict: Villa to win.
15. Sheffield Wednesday v Fulham
There's nothing worse than getting an FA Cup match against a team in your division but for the Owls there's nothing better than getting a home match against poor travellers Fulham.
Verdict: The happy Wednesdays.
16. Oxford v Swansea
One-time League Cup winners Oxford have had some lean years and they will love this opportunity to sink the off-colour Swans. But for all their problems, Garry Monk's team should have too much nous.
Verdict: Swansong for Oxford as merry Monk celebrates.
17. Brentford v Chesterfield or Walsall
Whoever wins the managerless derby between Walsall and Chesterfield are only playing for the right to lose at Brentford - now managed by ex-Walsall boss Dean Smith.
Verdict: Easy-Bees-y
18. Bury v Bradford
Last season's heroes Bradford face League One promotion chasers at Gigg Lane and this will be one match too far for them.
Verdict: Bantams Bury-ed as Lancashire see off Yorkshire.
19. Manchester United v Sheffield United
LVG's 0-0 specialists will be tested by the Blades on their big day out but even they won't mess this one up against League One opposition.
Verdict: United to edge it.
20. Everton v Dagenham or Whitehawk
Non-League Whitehawk are managed by a lifelong Liverpool fan who would love to take his team to Goodison Park just as much as the Toffees would fancy a runout against a team of part-timers. But Dagenham still have a say in that one...
Verdict: Everton to win no matter goes through.
21. Southampton v Crystal Palace
Another all-Premier League tie and another repeat of a 2014-15 match-up - which Palace won 3-2.
Verdict: Palace through after a replay.
22. Eastleigh v Bolton
On paper, National League high-fliers Eastleigh should give Championship basement Bolton a hard test. On the pitch, however, class will tell.
Verdict: Bolton at a trot.
23. Nottingham Forest v QPR
An all-Championship tie that is almost too close to call but expect QPR to impress new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Verdict: QPR after a replay.
24. Carlisle v Yeovil
A league two clash that pitches the bottom club and famous FA Cup giant killers Yeovil make the 12,000-mile round trip to Cumbria.
Verdict: Carlisle to win.
25. Chelsea v Leyton Orient or Scunthorpe
Can Chelsea erase the memory of their shock home defeat to Bradford last season?
Verdict: Yes, they can.
26. Doncaster v Stoke
Mark Hughes' Stoke are already in the League Cup semi-finals but will be given a hard time at Doncaster.
Verdict: Stoke's class will see them through.
27. Leeds v Rotherham
Steve Evans will enjoy playing host to his former team as much as Neil Redfearn will enjoy travelling to his former club - where he has already won in the Championship this season.
Verdict: Leeds to gain their revenge.
28. Cardiff v Grimsby or Shrewsbury
Cardiff have been runners-up in the FA Cup and League Cup in the past seven years and they will be delighted to have a gome tie against minnows.
Verdict: Bluebirds to soar through.
[REPORT: GRIMSBY HOLD SHREWSBURY]
29. Huddersfield v Reading
Fast-falling Reading won't be happy to get an away trip to Championship rivals but the Terriers have hardl sey the division alight this season.
Verdict: Huddersfield through - possibly after a replay.
30. Middlesbrough v Burnley
Boro and Burnley have far bigger fish to fry as they aim for the Premier League but this will give some of their squad players a chance to impress.
Verdict: Burnley to win.
31. Norwich v Manchester City
Which Manchester City will turn up? The one that won in Seville or the one who were battered at Tottenham. No matter...
Verdict: City slickers to swat Canaries aside
32. Hull City v Brighton
All Championship and both big hitters as 20-match unbeaten Brighton face the beaten 2014 FA Cup finalists. Steve Bruce has a rich FA Cup pedigree and win go all out to win this even if he would prefer not to be distracted from the race for the Premier League.
Verdict: Brighton to go to Hull and back - and into round four after a replay.
