Albion fans say they are gutted to see Roberto De Zerbi leaving Brighton - but supporters do not want him to leave without a proper send off at the Amex tomorrow.

Following the club's announcement that De Zerbi would be leaving after the season finale at the Amex, supporters have been sharing their initial reaction to the decision to part ways.

Speculation will soon begin as to who will replace the Italian but for now fans want to show their thanks to the man at the helm of two historic seasons.

On social media, one fan said he was "absolutely gutted" with the news that Roberto De Zerbi would be leaving after two seasons.

Another added: "We have to make Sunday the loudest the Amex has been for a long time.

"Roberto De Zerbi has shown his passion he has for our team, we need to show it back."

De Zerbi oversaw Albion's historic season which clinched European football after taking the helm from Graham Potter and went on to bring knock-out Europa League action to the Amex.

Albion podcaster Joe Sayers said: "Absolutely nothing we can do about it, so I guess we just give him the best possible send off. Thank you, Roberto. It’s been incredible."

Fan Kevin Ticehurst shared his thoughts, adding: "It's clear there's been tension between De Zerbi and Bloom, but I didn't expect this.

"Perhaps it's been brewing for a while and this is the way of making sure us fans can give him the send off he deserves tomorrow."

De Zerbi said he was "very sad" to be leaving the club but was proud of what the players and staff had achieved in the past two years.

His last game will come in front of the Albion fans at the Amex against Manchester United tomorrow.
