Loris Karius finally lost it with internet trolls who have handed the Liverpool goalkeeper untold stick since his Champions League nightmare.

The Reds stopped has been the subject of social media baiting after a night to forget in Kiev.

He was of course at fault for both Real Madrid goals in the European Cup final back in May – and his summer is ending as poorly as it started.

Karius, 25, has made a number of pre-season errors and was very shaky in the weekend’s 3-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

After standing by him last season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp last week smashed the record for the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when he paid £66m for Roma’s Allison.

It all got a bit too much for Karius and judging by his instagram story, he’s finally snapped with those poking up at him.

“To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you,” he wrote online. “Whatever it is that’s happening in your life to hold this much anger and hate, I pray that it passes and good things come to you.”

Despite bringing in what appears to be his replacement, Klopp maintains the former international has so much still to offer the club.

The German said: “Obviously Alisson is a world-class goalkeeper, so we’re not going to say, ‘Let’s have a look’.

“He will play, of course. He is the No1 for Brazil and then there is the fee. When Alisson is ready, he will be in our goal.

“We all need to help him so he can perform as good as possible. That is maybe the only difference.

“But for that to happen we need a strong squad around him and Loris is an outstanding goalkeeper. That’s the truth. Nothing else.”
