CARLISLE United gave a sneak peek at their 2024/25 home kit at Brunton Park ahead of the shirt's official unveiling.

The Blues treated fans who were in attendance at their fan zone as England played out a scoreless draw with Slovenia with a preview of their 24/25 home kit.

As Gareth Southgate attempted to breathe life into his stagnant Three Lions at halftime, Brunton Park came to life as goalkeeper Harry Lewis and Jon Mellish took to the stage to give fans a glimpse of their upcoming kit.

Carlisle United's new centre half Terell Thomas was also in attendance after his move to the Blues following his departure from League One outfit Charlton Atheltic.

As part of the sneak peek, The Blues played a special promotional video that included current United stars such as Dan Butterworth and Jack Ellis, and past Carlisle heroes such as Ray Train, Bobby Owen, Les O'Neill and Tom Clarke.

The inclusion of these United legends bared further prominence as the kit, which was adorned with the club's new front-of-shirt sponsor Aqua Pura, appeared to be a tribute to the shirt that was worn by the Blues' famous 1973/74 Division Two promotion winners and the side that played in the top flight the following campaign - 50 years ago.

Carlisle United will officially release their 2024/25 home kit on Wednesday, June 26 at 10 am, with the shirt set to go on sale at 12 pm.

At the fan zone, Jon Mellish gave his thoughts on the new kit and previewed the club's upcoming away kit.

He said: "It's nice, I'm easy when it comes to these things but it is nice.

"The away kit is also nice. It is a bit out there as we tend to be but it is nice as well."

Harry Lewis also commented on the club's pre-season training after the first team began its preparations for the 24/25 campaign on Monday, June 24.

He said: "We are putting in the hard work to get ready for a big season for us."

"No comment on who I would like to play first this season but I hope we take six points off them."
