Dynamo Kiev have denied reports that they are considering segregating black fans inside their stadium to 'combat racism'.

The Ukrainian side's stadium director was quoted as saying there could be a 'black sector' at their Olympic Stadium after supporters were attacked during Dynamo's recent Champions League game against Chelsea.

Shocking footage appeared to show four black fans being set upon, as the club's fans again found themselves in trouble for apparent racist behavior.

And when a journalist suggested the idea of separating black and white fans, Dynamo's stadium director Volodimir Spilchenko reportedly answered: 'We’ll probably listen to your offer.'

He added: 'We are trying, maybe, to make a special sector (for black fans)... in order to avoid the manifestation of racism.'

Dynamo Kiev fans already have previously been linked to racism, after having their stadium closed following racist abuse of Everton players in the Europa League last season.

Ukraine Football Federation vice-president Ohor Kochetov said the fans who were attacked last week were in the 'Rodychi' ('Ultras') section of the stadium.

He also claimed the fans who were attacked may not have had tickets and may have been carrying flares.

Since the 'segregation' reports emerged, an Olympic Stadium spokesperson said the club's director was 'misquoted'.

In a statement on the club's Facebook page, Dynamo said: 'Unfortunately, the journalists who did the interview [used] only the first sentence of the possibility of creating a separate sector and completely ignored the next sentence, in which the executive director expressed his position.

'[Volodimir] categorically condemned the idea of creating a separate sector or any other segmentation separate groups of supporters. He also said that he always opposed the construction of additional barriers for fans. But these words were not included.'
