Manchester United are now one of the favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, with Barcelona also in the hunt.

According to The Sun, it had seemed as though Barca were the front-runners for the Italian's signature. That is until he appointed Mino Raiola as his agent.

Raiola is well known for his links to United having overseen Paul Pogba's world-record £89 million move, as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan joining the club. Now it seems United will be his most likely destination.

Barca, meanwhile, are lining up a move for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe as a potential replacement for Neymar, reports The Daily Mail.

The Brazilian is being consistently linked with a move to PSG for a world-record fee of over £165 million and the Spanish club could splash the cash on the young French striker.

The Mirror is reporting that Man Utd could be ready to swoop for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

The paper claimed on Wednesday that Barkley wants to become Tottenham's highest-paid player, but now suggests United are monitoring the situation.

Manchester City may just have spent £50m on Kyle Walker, but The Sun writes they are chasing Real Madrid right-back Danilio, who can also play in midfield, in a £26m deal.

And finally, in a quick round-up, West Ham have been told they will have to fork out £20m if they are to lure Arsenal into selling Jack Wilshere.

Chelsea want to recoup £44m for Atletico Madrid-bound Diego Costa, according to The Independent.

City fans furious

Manchester City fans have been left seething after being told they face the ignominy of having to subscribe to Manchester United's official television station if they want to watch the first derby match ever to be held outside the UK on Friday.

Because MUTV, United's in-house television station, are the only rights holders for the game in the UK and Ireland, City supporters face the prospect of having to pay £7 to subscribe to the channel to watch the derby live unless they choose to stream the match illegally.

City ended up removing the link from their official website after supporters took exception to the idea of having to pay their fiercest rivals to watch the match.

Dave Harris, one City fan, tweeted: "Rag TV... you've got to be joking!".

Another fan, McLovin, tweeted: "I cant [sic] believe you're trying to promote MUTV."

De Gea puts Pereira in his place

Is there nothing David de Gea can't do? Not content with being one of the best goalkeeper's in the world, with some of the safest hands in the business, he's also pretty good with his feet.

De Gea's been sharing 'keeping duties with Sergio Romero and youngster Joel Pereira, but he put the rookie in his place in training in LA.
