Influential midfielder Bonnie Horwood is among three players leaving Ipswich Town Women this summer.

The 37-year-old has joined fellow FAWNL Southern Premier Division side Billericay Town upon the expiration of her contract after three years with the club.

Horwood joined Town from London Bees in the summer of 2021, becoming a key figure for Joe Sheehan's side, making a total of 83 appearances for the Blues, scoring 18 goals.

She was interim captain until Maria Boswell was appointed as a permanent successor to Blue Wilson in December 2023.

Fellow midfielder Nia Evans has also departed the club after spending the second half of last season on loan at Billericay.

The 20-year-old progressed through Town's academy, making her senior debut against Portsmouth on the opening day of the 2022/23 season.

Evans played 26 games for the club, scoring three goals, with her first senior strike against QPR being named Town's Goal of the Season award for that campaign.

Forward Holly Turner has also left the Tractor Girls, having spent the end of last season on loan at Chatham Town in search of regular game time.

The 23-year-old joined Town from Billericay in February 2023 after an impressive first half of the season in Essex.

Turner was handed the number nine shirt for the 2023/24 season, but scored just once in 14 games during her spell at club.
