Former Dundee United boss Tam Courts is on the verge of sealing a stunning move to Saudi Arabia. And the switch will see him link up with ex-Rangers supremo James Bisgrove.

Courts has been out of the game since leaving Budapest Honved in 2022 after just four months in charge of the Hungarian side. But the Courier reports that the 42-year-old is in advanced talks over a life-changing move newly-promoted Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadsiah FC.

Courts has been offered the chance to join manager Michel's backroom staff and a deal is expected to be thrashed out over the coming weeks. It would see the ex-Kelty Hearts gaffer work alongside marquee summer signings Champions League-winning Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez and Belgian No.1 Koen Casteels.

Courts would also be joining a familiar face in ex-Ibrox CEO Bisgrove, who was appointed chief executive of Al-Qadsiah's last month. Courts - who led the Tangerines into Europe during his only season in charge at Tannadice - has spent time away from the spotlight to complete his UEFA Pro Licence.

He recently admitted that he was ready to get back into management in Scotland but will now continue his coaching career in the Middle East.
