Fortnite down: Servers go offline for downtime as patch 13.30 is rolled out
Fortnite has been taken offline for downtime as the latest patch 13.30 is implemented.
The popular battle royale game will be unplayable from 9am BST for an undetermined number of hours.
Typically, downtime lasts around three hours but it has been known to end earlier and, in some cases, much later than that.
Once the update does go live, players will have no problem logging back in after downloading the new patch.
The Fortnite Server Status Twitter account shared the news about the scheduled downtime, also stating that the download size will be larger than usual for those playing on the Switch.
The Sea-son continues with another wave of Summer Splash LTMs and more.

As for what's being added, we don't have much to go on apart from leaked patch notes which are sent to certain content creators before downtime begins.
According to Fortnite data miner @iFireMonkey on Twitter, the following changes are coming:
Summer Splash LTM
A brand new wave of limited-time modes will be cycled into the Summer Splash rotation this week, including Payback! Catch! and One Shot!
The Sea-son Evolves
Water levels will continue to recede, revealing more familiar areas of the map, along with some challenges and "something new".
Get the Band Back Together
A host of new challenges which can only be completed in group play have been added. Grab your teammates and take on these co-op challenges
Build-A-Brella
The final Build-A-Brella challenge will be available this week.
