France vs Morocco lineups: Confirmed team news, starting XIs, injury latest for World Cup semi-final today

France have been forced into two changes for their World Cup semi-final against Morocco tonight.

French defender Dayot Upamecano and midfielder Adrien Rabiot were both fitness doubts after missing training on Tuesday due to illness, and neither start for Les Blues.

Ibrahima Konate comes in at at centre-back, while Youssouf Fofana deputises alongside Antoine Griezmann and Aurelien Tchouameni in midfield.

Up top, Olivier Giroud is looking to become the oldest player in history to score five goals in a single World Cup, while Kylian Mbappe will be looking to get back on the scoresheet after missing out against England.

Morocco captain Romain Saiss vowed to “give everything” to be fit for the game, and he starts for his country. The defender was stretchered off 57 minutes into Morocco’s quarter-final victory against Portugal, but is named in a back four.

Fellow centre-back Nayef Aguerd also needed assessing ahead of kick-off but starts.

Striker Walid Cheddira plays no part after picking up two yellow cards during the quarter-final.
