French Open LIVE: Sofia Kenin takes on teen Iga Swiatek in women’s singles final at Roland Garros
Sofia Kenin’s pursuit of a second Grand Slam title has taken her to the final of this year’s French Open, where the American will take on Polish teenager Iga Swiatek this afternoon.
Kenin, 21, defeated two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in straight sets to book her place in the final in Paris, while 19-year-old Swiatek’s remarkable run to the showpiece match has included victories over last year’s runner-up Marketa Vondrousova and 2018 champion Simona Halep.
Swiatek has not dropped a single set on the clay of Roland Garros this past fortnight, while Kenin will be calling on her positive experience from this year’s Australian Open final… Follow live updates below:
