Mar. 15—Baseball

WARNER 5, REJOICE CHRISTIAN 2 — Austin Spradlin collected three hits in leading Warner at the plate. Lubbock Drake drove in the tying run to make the game 2-2 in the bottom of the first before Warner (1-3) took the 5-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth on Spradlin's two-run double and a ground out by Beau Thomas. Jace Jackson earned the win with three hits given up over 5.1 innings and Thomas registered the save. Colton Swimmer added two hits.

HASKELL 11, SUMMIT CHRISTIAN 0 — Lucas King led the way for Haskell with four hits and four RBIs. His biggest hit was a three-run triple in the third inning that put the Haymakers up 6-0. Brady Neal earned the win and registered 10 strikeouts on the mound as he went five innings and scattered three hits. Haskell (5-1) collected 14 hits as Neal, Jaxon Drain, Baxter Neal and Elias Gonzales all had two each.

MUSKOGEE 4, TAHLEQUAH SEQ. 3 — Muskogee got out to a 4-0 lead after five innings and held off a late seventh inning rally by the Indians for the win. Aiden Barnoski put the Roughers on the board first as he grounded out to score a run in the first inning and then a triple by Bradan Carter extended the lead to 3-0 in the top of the third inning. Doc Estes earned the win going 5.2 innings and gave up three hits with nine strikeouts. Barnoski and Rock Gilliam both appeared in relief for Muskogee who had 11 stolen bases on the day.

Carter went 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Roughers (2-6).

OKTAHA 16, VERDIGRIS 6 — Darren Ledford drove in six runs on three hits, including a fourth inning grand slam to left field that put the Tigers up 15-6.

Oktaha won thanks in part to nine runs in the third inning. Kipton Christian earned the win giving up three earned runs on five hits over four innings. Nic Tolbert threw one inning of no run ball for the Tigers (4-1) in relief. Maddox Edwards, Tolbert and Canyon Elam all finished with two hits.

CHECOTAH 9, EUFAULA 8 — Lane Elliot hit a two-run single as Checotah won in walk off fashion over its McIntosh County rival. Mason Rainbolt got the win in relief for the Wildcats (3-5) as he pitched one inning of shutout ball. Charles Collins started on the hill for Checotah and scattered five hits in 2.1 innings with four strikeouts and four runs allowed.

Dawson Hughes took the defeat for Eufaula (3-5) as he lasted just two-thirds of an inning and gave up three runs on two hits. Carson Luna was the starter and surrendered five runs on nine hits in five innings with 11 strikeouts. He also led the Ironheads at the plate going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. The Wildcats were paced by Bryce Marshall who had three RBIs and was 3-for-3. Jacob Jones and Collins had two hits each.

HILLDALE 8, INOLA 3 — Cole Leach led the charge for Hilldale going 4-for-4 with three RBIs as the Hornets (8-0) took a 8-1 lead in the fourth inning. Asa Spradley pitched a one-hit game and earned the win in four innings with five strikeouts. Leach and Chandler Wood had two stolen bases each.

TAHLEQUAH 5, FORT GIBSON 2 — Fort Gibson faced a 5-1 deficit after four innings as Levi Haworth was the losing pitcher. He went four innings and allowed five hits. Eli Hazen went 2-for-4 with both RBIs for Fort Gibson (3-5).

DEPEW TOURNAMENT — Porter defeated Davenport, 12-2. Mattix Kilgore and Jesse Reeves led the Pirates going 2-for-4 with three RBIs each while Brayden Smith was the winner on the mound despite allowing 11 hits.

Tyler Durrett, Brayden Pike, Cycle McElmurry and Kane Rodgers all added two hits for Porter (12-5-1)

WEBBERS FALLS AT MCCURTAIN — Canceled.

TAHLEQUAH TOURNAMENT — Porum lost to Owasso, 12-0 as the Lady Rams scored seven runs in the fourth inning. Mesa Coulston took the loss in the circle, surrendering 17 hits and seven earned runs in four innings. Zoe Davis, Jaimie Purdom and Coulston all had one hit each for the Lady Panthers. Host Tahlequah lost to Porum, 5-4 as Camren Terrell led the Lady Panthers (5-4) with two hits in four appearances. Coulston got the win going seven innings and gave up 12 hits.

WARNER AT OKAY — Rained out.

BOYS

MUSKOGEE 2, NOAH 1 — Valente Espinosa scored once for Muskogee and NOAH gifted the Roughers (1-3) another point as it put the ball in its own goal.

STILLWATER 7, HILLDALE 6 (OT) — Hayden Pickering tied the score at 1-1 in the second half for the Hornets (4-1) as the game went into overtime. Pickering, Mateo Campos, Grant Brust, Cam Stout, Bryce Chartney and Gabe Estrada all had penalty kicks in the extra period but Hilldale could not pull out the win. Stout had one save in the penalty kicks.

WAGONER TOURNAMENT — Wagoner finished as tournament runner up as it lost to Summit Christian, 4-0. Blake Harmon had five saves for the Bulldogs (5-2).

GIRLS

NOAH 4, MUSKOGEE 3 — Celeste Lira, Dayana Vazques and Lily Johnesy scored one goal each for the Lady Roughers (4-3). Gerasmin Soto ended with five saves.

STILLWATER 4, HILLDALE 2 — Grace Nail and Makenzie Bolding scored one goal apiece. Laila Colina registered eight saves and Gabby Dover finished with two assists for Hilldale (3-2).

WAGONER TOURNAMENT — Wagoner (4-3) took second place as it lost to Summit Christian 4-0.

Porter (4-1) took third place as it won 1-0 in a shootout against Claremore Sequoyah. The game was scoreless at the end of regulation.
