A fundraiser has been launched for a group of young Isle of Wight gymnasts, who have been left with no choice but to travel to the mainland to compete.

After a successful 2023, Izzy, Indie and Ellora's team found itself without a coach in April 2024.

This forced the team to split up and members to attend different gyms in the Portsmouth area.

The three girls were lucky enough to be offered places with Xcel Gymnastics Club in Horndean.

However, they are having to catch a ferry to the mainland and travel by car several times a week, which is proving expensive.

Here's how to donate to help Izzy, Indie and Ellora

To donate to help with the girls' travel costs, email wightgymnasts@gmail.com or click HERE.

To help with the costs, a Go Fund Me page has been set up.

Going forward, they are hoping to secure sponsorship.

Previous successes for the girls include qualifying for the South Region finals  pf the Hampshire County classic challenge levels in September 2023 and being invited to join the Hampshire County squad.

The girls’ achievements are even more impressive given their old gym was a former cow shed, with no space for a sprung floor or vault.
