Funko POP! NHL players are finally on the way

As we recently dug through a pile of adorable Funko POP! vinyl dolls looking for obscure Doctor Who characters and non-Jared Leto Jokers, we came across an Odell Beckham Jr. NFL figure. This bummed us out because there haven’t been any National Hockey League versions of these addictively creative collectables.

UNTIL.

NOW.

Yes indeed, we’re getting Funko POP! Figures for the NHL starting in November.

The first wave includes Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals; Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers; Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins; Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens; Morgan Rielly of the Toronto Maple Leafs; Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks; Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers; Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars; and Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Most will be featured in home and away jerseys.

So which player is going to be the “General Hux in the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS” aisle, i.e. the one they have 100 of but never sell?
