Ingrown hairs can be painful, itchy and just downright annoying. Treating them can take some real patience, too. Although they often go away on their own in a few weeks, searching “ingrown hairs” on TikTok will result in tons of videos of people removing them, often with tweezers. (If you have a weak stomach, do yourself a favor and don’t look it up!) Additionally, some dermatologists recommend exfoliating regularly, using salicylic acid, using glycolic acid or even switching up your razor. Still, ingrown hairs can happen, and Fur created the first-of-its-kind patch for removing them pretty much overnight.

Fur is a skin care brand specifically tailored to body hair, no matter where it is. Its products hydrate skin, soften hair and aim to remove ingrowns. Its products are also “gentle enough for pubic hair and skin, but effective from head to toe.” You may have seen its best-selling Fur Oil before. However, the brand launched its Ingrown Microdart Patch at the beginning of March, and shoppers are really loving them.

“I am so impressed by these patches,” wrote one customer on the brand’s website. “I struggle so much with ingrowns, even with all the exfoliating/moisturizing/etc., and putting a patch on a trouble spot overnight was like magic.”

If you’ve ever used a zit sticker, this is kind of like that, but with microdarts. The supercharged patches use microdarts to deliver key ingredients like salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid and cica directly into the ingrown hair bump. According to the product description, it quickly and effectively smooths bumps and reduces inflammation in as little as six hours. Although, some reviewers say it may take more than one patch/day to totally remove really deep ingrowns.

You can put these patches anywhere from your underarms to your bikini line, as long as your skin is clean and dry. That means you could put one of these on, go to bed and wake up with smoother skin. If you have a really deep ingrown hair, the brand recommends following up with its Ingrown Eliminator Serum to smooth even more and prevent future ingrowns.

“These definitely improve even the worst of ingrown hairs,” wrote one Ulta shopper in the reviews. “Putting one on overnight showed a marked improvement in the morning, though you will most likely need more than one on the same spot for anything more than a minor ingrown, which means you can go through these dots quickly. It’s not the most cost-effective solution, but it is the cleanest and it does work.”

The patches come in a pack of 12 for $28, which sounds a little pricey, I know. However, if you’ve ever had a pesky ingrown hair you want to get rid of fast before a big event or vacation, it’s worth it. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s a fast and clean option, next to going to your dermatologist for help.
