Australian high jumper Brandon Starc did not medal in Rio, but he still earned the most passionate fan club in the competition.

Starc nearly shares a name with “Game of Thrones’” Bran Stark, making him an instant hero among devotees of the popular HBO series.

Perhaps buoyed by the support, the 22-year-old nearly matched his career-high to advance to Tuesday night’s final, and Twitter predictably went crazy.
