Gary Neville tips Tottenham to pip Arsenal to Champions League qualification in wake of dramatic derby

Gary Neville has backed Tottenham to pip Arsenal to fourth spot and ensure Champions League qualification after Thursday night’s dramatic north London derby.

Months after its original date, Spurs emerged victorious in a resounding 3-0 victory over their bitter rivals, moving only one point behind them in the Premier League table.

A Harry Kane brace and Heung-min Son’s 21st League goal of the season gave Spurs their biggest margin of victory against Arsenal in the Premier League era.

While Antonio Conte’s side haven’t always proven the picture of consistency, their final two games of the season - at home against Burnley before an away trip to Norwich - look more favourable than Arsenal’s, who travel to Newcastle before hosting Everton.

Spurs could further ramp up the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side should they overcome Burnley on Sunday, a result that would put them a point ahead before Arsenal’s game on Monday.

“I think Tottenham will beat Burnley and Arsenal will have to win their last two matches - but I’m not sure they will,” said Neville after the game.

“Tonight was a really big blow - I might be wrong and I’m neutral between these two clubs - but I do feel now if I had to put money on it, it would be on Tottenham.”
