WARRINGTON Wolves could end up facing a man who is still technically one of their players on Saturday.

It has been confirmed to the Warrington Guardian that prop Gil Dudson, who is on a season-long loan at Round Nine opponents Salford Red Devils, is available to feature on Saturday with no clause in the deal preventing him from lining up against his parent club.

The Welsh international returned to the Red Devils side against London Broncos at the weekend, coming off the bench as Paul Rowley’s men edged to a 12-4 victory.

That was his third appearance for Salford, with whom he spent a successful two years in 2019 and 2020 before leaving to join Catalans Dragons, since returning to the club on loan from Warrington last month.

Dudson featured off the bench for The Wire in the Round One defeat to Catalans in Perpignan but with his contract expiring at the end of the season, it appears as though he has played his final game for the club.
