A Glasgow man won his own Innis & Gunn Taproom for the Hungary v Scotland Euros match.

David McKay, 59, won a private bar for the June 23 match with 60 family and friends watching the game live.

He won the prize as part of a series of special promotions involving Scotland's premium lager for the Euros.

David's own billboard took pride of place in Finnieston as Innis & Gunn's top winner.

The poster boy for Euro celebrations and director at Brightwork, said: "It was a fantastic night, bar the football, with great beer, great food and bar snacks.

"I never really enter competitions but was up staying at my caravan in St Andrews, picked up our supplies of Innis & Gunn to watch the footy and spotted the on-pack promotion to win your own bar.

"Never in a million years did I think I’d win but what a superb night so huge thanks to the Innis & Gunn team for their hospitality.

"Just a shame the result wasn’t what we’d all hoped for."

The prizes were geared to engage with beer fans and offered several rewards including free beer, winning your own at-home bar, and the top tier prize of hosting a party for the Hungary v Scotland game at Innis & Gunn’s Brewery Taproom in Ashton Lane.

Dougal Gunn Sharp, master brewer and founder of Innis & Gunn, said: "This was one of our biggest on-pack promotions yet, it was a pleasure to host David, his friends and family on Sunday night.

"We love a great party, despite the result, everyone got behind the team and soaked up the Euros atmosphere with a helping of Innis & Gunn."
