Former Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara could be on the move less than a year after joining Leeds United.

Kamara, 28, ended his four-and-a-half year stint at Ibrox last summer after sealing a £5million to Elland Road. The Finland international established himself as a key player under Daniel Farke as he racked up 42 appearances across all competitions. But his debut season with the Whites ended in agony as the Whites fell to a Championship play-off final defeat to Southampton at Wembley.

Now, after missing out on Premier League promotion at the first time of asking, Kamara could be tempted elsewhere. Respected French outlet L'Equipe reports that Stade Rennais have expressed an interest in the ex-Dundee playmaker as they weigh up a summer swoop.

It's said that the Ligue 1 outfit are keen to strengthen their options in the middle of the park and view Kamara as a potential target ahead of the new season. Rennes finished tenth in the French top-flight last season, seven points adrift of Lyon who bagged the final European spot.

And as they target European qualification this time around, boss Julien Stephan could test Leeds' resolve by tabling an offer for former Rangers title-winner Kamara.
