Gordon Ramsay would 'love' to do Strictly Come Dancing

Gordon Ramsay would "love" to follow in his daughter Tilly's footsteps and take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

The TV chef revealed in an interview with the Radio Times that he was once approached to compete in the Strictly Christmas special and turned it down, despite secretly wanting to try his luck on the dance floor.

"They asked me to do a Christmas special with Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix," he said. "I would love to do it, though. Secretly, I'd love to do it. I've always wanted to dance. There's something so gorgeous about the rumba, the samba, the foxtrot, the tango... I don't know. I may ask the BBC if I could do it next year."

However, he doesn't think his 20-year-old daughter Tilly, who competed in the most recent series with Nikita Kuzmin, would be too pleased.

"Tilly would kill me, by the way," Gordon noted. "But the only bit I'd be slightly nervous about is all the tight Lycra, sequins and the trousers."

The Kitchen Nightmares host also joked that there's "no chance" he would be any good in the Strictly ballroom, adding, "I've got size 15 feet and they were not made for a dance floor, let me tell you."

Tilly and Nikita made it to the final six of Strictly Come Dancing and were often supported by Gordon and his wife Tana in the studio, with the notoriously straight-talking chef sometimes seen bursting into tears of pride.
