WATCH: Copenhagen player pelted by rats in Danish derby
Conjuring images of that infamous incident when Barcelona played Real Madrid and Luis Figo had a pig's head thrown at him while attempting to take a corner, a derby clash in Denmark between Brondby and Copenhagen on Monday had to be paused after fans of the former threw dead rats at one of the opposition's players.

Danish football's biggest derby certainly has prior misdemeanours when it comes to such occurrences, but this is something else entirely. The encounter took an extremely strange turn as Brondby supporters started hurling the aforementioned rodents at Copenhagen's Ludwig Augustinsson when he went to take a corner.
But with the visitors 1-0 ahead at the time and with just five minutes left on the clock, they ultimately ran out as the winners and therefore, had the proverbial last laugh.
